Conditional Fit. Conditional, and older cars earn that label honestly. The BRABUS sizing is supported by documented W202 fitment evidence, not by a manufacturer certification for every 1997 C36. Front brake to spoke clearance, inner suspension clearance and fender clearance all need checking against the actual car before anything is bought. The damper and spring package is a direction, not a locked part.

The story
A period restomod of the C36, built as though a very good late nineties European tuner did the work and the car survived intact. The restraint is the whole idea. The original AMG bumpers, skirts, grille, chrome star and badging all stay. The M104 stays stock. Nothing gets blacked out, nothing gets a carbon panel, no modern LED headlamp goes anywhere near it. The car should read as a C36 before it reads as modified. What changes is the stance and the wheel language. Genuine period BRABUS Monoblock V in silver, eighteens, staggered, on a staggered tyre package. Roughly twenty five to thirty millimetres lower than it left Affalterbach. And because this is a car approaching thirty years old, the build is as much refresh as modification: bushings, ball joints, tie rods, mounts, all of it inspected and replaced as needed. A period restomod that skips the chassis is just an old car with new wheels. Period tuner, not modern tuner.
